Times of Turmoil released to Nook, Kobo, Apple, and Smashwords

Times of Turmoil is now also available to buy on ‪Nook, Kobo,  iTunes, my own webstore, ‬and ‪Smashwords ‬. When I published it in April, I put it into Amazon's KDP Select so I could get some momentum going with it. I might've stayed in it, if I had more borrows, but I had 12 for it, and I managed to get 2286 downloads from the 5 free days. The other novel I have in Select, Beyond the New Frontier, has done worse, having half of the downloads that Times of Turmoil has since October of last year, probably because people aren't all that into mixing genres like alternate history, … Continue reading

Novel sales stats for 2012

I thought I’d blog again this year about how many sales/free downloads my novels had this year. My marketing/promoting consisted mostly of using Twitter, Facebook groups/pages, joining up with a couple Christian author groups to Tweet, and going to message boards. I did some giveaways for ebooks, like on Librarything, and sent some personal acquaintances/relatives paperback copies of Times of Trouble (which actually did help some with visibility), along with a little more than a handful of review copies to a couple of … Continue reading
