2013 Novel Sales

-My year in publishing- I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a great new year. As I do twice a year, I post what I’ve sold/given away over the year (or previous six months in the case of posting in June). As I discovered over the year when putting books into Kindle Select, that it’s become really over-rated, even the Kindle Countdown idea could use a lot more work, since I couldn’t get that to work for me either. Free days work well in that I’m getting lots of downloads, but doesn’t seem to boost sales beyond that, or even net borrows from Amazon Prime Members. I guess that … Continue reading

Upcoming Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deals

For the upcoming start of the Christmas season (although, it seems like the Christmas season never ends anymore, especially if you see commercials on TV promoting Christmas deals right after Halloween), I have a couple of deals that anyone can take advantage of. I’m offering 50% off of most of my paperback novels through Createspace, which is good until the end of the year, and the coupon code is ZC6JYHVF. Other deals are listed with the books, including a free Kindle book the week of Cyber Monday. Times of Turmoil – Christian Thriller In Times of Turmoil, a prequel to Times of Trouble and Times of Trial, we follow how … Continue reading

Out of Time Audiobook

OUT OF TIME a time travel novel is now available as an audiobook on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes. The narration was done by Michael C. Gwynne, an actor whose profile can be found on IMDB.com. If you prefer the ebook, it’s still $.99 on all ebook sites where it’s available. Visit the Out of Time page for reviews, excerpts for either the written version or audio, and the buy links. In the 2150’s, a scientist discovers time is actually fluid; past, present, and future all exist at the same time. What he doesn’t know, is if the current timeline can change when something is changed in the past. The U.S. … Continue reading

Sales this week

This week, I have Beyond the New Frontier for FREE on Kindle for probably the last time on Amazon from 9/11 to 9/12. Since it's a combined novel, I'll probably drop it as a title altogether on Amazon, since New Frontier and Final Frontier are separate titles on Amazon anyway and already that way everywhere else. In this combination of the novels New Frontier and Final Frontier, this is the story of alternate timelines, partial political thriller, and time travel, in which a United States President is kept from being assassinated, but there are other unintended consequences as a result. In 1976, Ronald Reagan becomes President of the United States, … Continue reading

Novel Sales For the Year So Far

Now that June is over with and it's half-way through the year, I'd like to share my sales stats for the year so far. I post this twice a year, and most of the promotion I do is through Facebook or Twitter (since I have a very small budget). Since the beginning of the year though, I've joined up with other Christian indie authors at sites like Crossreads to promote our books through Twitter, Blog Hops, and $.99 cent sales, and I think it helps tremendously. If I had a lot of disposable income, it would be interesting to see how well I'd do if I could afford Bookbub, Kindle … Continue reading

Novel sales stats for 2012

First off, Happy New Year 2013 to everyone and a big thank you to all those out there who bought/downloaded a copy of one of my novels. I thought I’d blog again this year about how many sales/free downloads my novels had this year. My marketing/promoting consisted mostly of using Twitter, Facebook groups/pages, joining up with a couple Christian author groups to Tweet, and going to message boards. I did some giveaways for ebooks, like on Librarything, and sent some personal acquaintances/relatives paperback copies of Times of Trouble (which actually did help some with visibility), along with a little more than a handful of review copies to a couple of … Continue reading

#SampleSunday – Final Frontier, alternate history

For Sample Sunday, here is a part of Chapter 7 of Final Frontier. A couple of hours went by before anything started happening. As McMurphy and Elders were hiding behind some boxes on the floor where Lee Harvey Oswald was supposed to have shot Kennedy from, both men heard a door open, with two men walking through. The man who came in first was definitely Oswald, and the second man behind him was shoving a pistol in Oswald’s back, and was carrying something large that was shaped like a rifle of some sort. Oswald was saying, “Why me?” “As I keep saying, we need someone who we can blame the … Continue reading

#99cent sale for my #ebooks on Amazon, B&N, and Kobo

For the rest of November, five of my ebooks will be $.99 on Amazon, B&N, and Kobo (which includes WH Smith and Angus & Robertson). Amazon updates either instantly or takes all day, UK Nook will update later, and Kobo’s new prices will be reflected tomorrow. All but Final Frontier is available in paperback. Here’s the ones on sale: Out of Time, my time travel novel, is currently $.99 anyway, but I’m thinking of raising the price to $2.99 at the end of the year, which includes Apple & Sony. Currently is rated 4 stars with 8 reviews on Amazon. In the 2150’s, a scientist discovers time is actually fluid; … Continue reading

Potential novels, sequels, & other scribblings

When I started writing and publishing my works, I never thought I would publish more than maybe two novels. Well, now I’m up to eight novels, and setting to write my ninth. My goal this year was to write and publish at least two novels, and I did that, with three. I also thought I’d never write sequels or a series of novels in the same universe, but I have. I’m sure some wonder if I’m going to have any sequels to some of my older novels, and I’ve been asked, but right now, I don’t know. Here’s an update on my current novels and future works. Out of Time … Continue reading
